DAI’s first project with LRGHealthcare which began our long-standing relationship with the hospital was to prepare a Master Facility Plan over 25 years ago. Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard
The proposed Emergency Department Expansion Project for Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard is located on the First Floor of the existing facility. The project includes the relocation of the emergency department into a new addition and renovated spaces. The emergency department will be accessed from two entry locations: an ambulance entry and a walk-in entry. DAI worked with Huggins Hospital to develop their new 101,000 square foot replacement hospital. The new main building podium level has the Main Entry, Lobby, Registration, Dietary, Lab, Emergency Department, Surgical Suites, and Diagnostic Imaging. A second level bedroom program accommodates the Med/Surg, ICU, and Administration areas. An outdoor healing garden, two indoor skylight gardens and a cafe with an outside dining patio are additional features. Danbury Hospital
DAI was selected to work with Danbury Hospital on three projects occurring concurrently, including both Architectural and Engineering components utilizing our in-house Engineering services. DAI recently completed the renovation of an Operating Room for the hospital. The scope of this project entailed expanding the Operating Room by using the existing Med Room and a portion of a storage room to allow for a da Vinci surgical robot to utilize both the new and adjacent ORs. Connecticut Children’s Medical Center
The new Hematology/Oncology Center consists of 11,000 square feet of renovated space on the fifth floor of the existing hospital and 7 exam rooms, 4 private infusion rooms, 4 private day treatment hospital rooms and an on-site blood lab. The Care Center improves the experience for patients by providing private spaces and consultation rooms large enough to accommodate families and areas for respite and play. Lean Healthcare principles were applied in the design of this facility to ensure patient safety while streamlining workflow for staff.

Franklin Regional Hospital
Our longstanding relationship with Lakes Region General Hospital provided us with an opportunity to work on a new project at Franklin Regional Hospital. Our recent projects at Franklin Regional Hospital included a new addition to house their replacement OR Suite and Ambulatory Surgery. DAI assisted in the development of a Master Facilities Plan for Loudoun Hospital beginning in 2000. The finished product became the catalyst for guiding this five year old hospital’s future mission and challenges through the next 10 years based on historical and anticipated annual growth.
