Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Ambulatory Surgery Center
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center partnered with DiGiorgio Associates Inc. to provide Architectural, Engineering and Interior Design Services for an off-site Ambulatory Surgery Center. The team was tasked to design a space that was pediatric friendly, and patient-centered for age’s birth through twenty-three. Throughout the design process, the DAI team worked closely with CCMC management, caregivers, family members and surgeons. In May 2012, Winchester Hospital celebrated the Grand Opening of its new Ambulatory Surgery Center, as well as continuing its celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the hospital and its 2nd Century Campaign. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in 2007 to kick off a 59,000 square foot Medical Office Center addition to Redington-Fairview General Hospital. The goal of this project was to combine multiple practices under one roof to improve patient care by minimizing the need for patients to visit different sites.
