The goal of Brockton Neighborhood Health Center was to consolidate all operations into one center and this 58,000 square foot building fits their needs for space and improved efficiency of care.  The organization of the floor plate is simple and efficient. The primary circulation at each floor is located along the opposite building side, facing a landscaped buffer. The remainder of each floor is dedicated to clinic space.

A modular layout of Universal Exam Rooms creates flexibility to allow for a single second floor use of Adult Primary and Urgent Care, while also allowing multiple users, Women’s Services and Pediatrics, on the third floor. Extensive glazing along the landscape buffer brings daylight into the center of each floor.  A small section of parking is located at the rear of the Health Center.  This space will allow for future growth of the building by continuing the modular layout of each floor. The new Community Health Center also offers specialty and support services that include HIV, Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Dental services. Additional operational components include case management, finance, outreach, MIS, conference space, and administration.
