DAI provided full architectural services for this 84-unit senior housing project. The architectural treatment of the facade reflects the traditional New England village character of the entire campus.
The design of the two-story building is organized around a center core of shared resident common areas. The first floor of the Assisted Living Residence contains a Lobby, Library, Parlor, Pub, Living Room, Private Dining Room and Main Dining Room. The Lobby and Living Room share a two-sided fireplace. A grand staircase leads you from the first floor to the center core of the second floor where you find a multi-purpose cafe, a cinema, country kitchen, wellness center, activity center, and hair salon.
A 20-unit memory care wing was designed to provide an interior walking path with activity spaces located at each turn. It maintains its own entrance as well as an enclosed courtyard.
